Jen is a co-founder and Managing Principal of the KAP Group. Prior to founding KAP, Jen was a Vice President in the Real Estate Private Fund Group at Credit Suisse, responsible for raising capital from endowments, foundations, pension plans and high net worth individuals for private real estate managers globally. Before her distribution role, Jen advised and prepared real estate managers through each stage of the capital raising process. In this capacity, she reviewed numerous real estate private fund and joint venture opportunities in the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia and completed full suites of marketing materials for private fund raises representing over $5 billion in equity.
In 2004, Jen participated in a sales and marketing leadership program at General Electric where she was instrumental in the strategic development of new business opportunities for two business units seeking revenue growth.
Prior to pursuing her MBA, Jen was a founding member of DLJ Strategic Partners, L.P., a private equity fund created to purchase limited partner interests in leveraged buyout, mezzanine, venture capital and real estate funds in the secondary market. She began her career at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ) in the Real Estate Finance and Securitization group where she underwrote commercial real estate mortgages that were then securitized into commercial mortgage backed securities.
Jen received a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School, where she continues to be involved in alumni fundraising initiatives. She graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Liz is a co-founder and Managing Principal of the KAP Group. Prior to founding KAP, Liz was a Vice President in the Real Estate Private Fund Group (REPFG) at Credit Suisse where she advised and prepared real estate managers through each stage of the capital raising process. Her responsibilities included the oversight and preparation of fund marketing materials including management presentations, private placement memoranda, financial analyses, term sheet structuring and due diligence materials for prospective investors. During her tenure with REPFG, Liz reviewed numerous real estate private fund managers pursuing various product and geographic strategies in the U.S., Europe and Asia and completed full suites of marketing materials for private fund raises representing nearly $3 billion in equity.
Before joining the Real Estate Private Fund Group, Liz was a Vice President in Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Finance and Securitization group where she was the Head Underwriter for the Small Balance Loan Program, which she helped found at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ). Liz oversaw a team of eight underwriters and reviewed and underwrote over $2 billion in proceeds representing over 650 commercial real estate loans. In addition, she originated over $100 million in loans and supported a national origination team in underwriting and structuring transactions. She was selected to participate in Credit Suisse’s Fixed Income Emerging Leader Program in 2006. In addition to her underwriting responsibilities, Liz played a key role in strategic planning and also formulated and implemented numerous efficiency initiatives that enabled the team to scale its efforts and grow revenues.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Liz held the roles of Senior Product Manager of DartMail and Director of Business Development at DoubleClick, Inc., an online advertising technology firm.
Before pursuing her MBA, Liz was a founding member of the Small Balance Loan Program within the Real Estate Finance and Securitization group at DLJ. Prior to joining DLJ, Liz was an analyst at ValuExpress, a commercial mortgage conduit. Liz began her career as an analyst in the Credit Department at CS First Boston.
Liz received a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts.
Erin Roeder is a Vice President of the KAP Group. Prior to joining KAP, Erin served as Vice President at Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, where she was responsible for articulating the firm’s market view, investment thesis, and competitive advantage across a broad range of communications. Her role involved developing relationships with existing and prospective clients, overseeing a communications program for more than 800 investors globally, and enhancing the firm’s visibility and status as a thought leader within the investment community.
Before joining Metropolitan, Erin served as Senior Vice President for Neighborhood Development at Trinity Real Estate, a division of the Parish of Trinity Church in New York City. In this capacity, she developed, managed, and began implementing a strategic plan to transform Trinity’s 6-million-square-foot commercial portfolio in Manhattan’s Hudson Square District into a dynamic, mixed-use community.
Erin began her career as an Associate Consultant at Bain and Company.
Erin received a J.D. from Yale Law School, where she continues to be involved in alumni fundraising activities. She graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
